Staff Giving Back

In addition to our grants program, the Foundery staff loves to volunteer.

The Foundery’s mission is to empower others to serve their communities. As a team, we like to give back to the community as well. So throughout the year, we volunteer as a team at local nonprofits such as Lamb’s Basket or the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. We love the joy volunteering brings, as well as strengthening bonds among our team.

Since 2021, our parent organization, the Virginia United Methodist Foundation, has held the Annual Golf Classic in October, raising funds for our grants program. In 2024, we selected one ministry within the Virginia Conference to receive all proceeds from the golf tournament – Embrace, a vibrant community in Waynesboro.
